Sir James Munby, the President of the Family Division of England and Wales, has been met by numerous protesters outside the Radison Blue Hotel in Liverpool, UK.

It took 21 years for the Family Courts to ignore the problems in this county. Now they celebrated on Saturday, 6 February 2016, when they danced the night away at the black tie dinner and dance evening hosted at the iconic Royal Liver Buildings, in Liverpool.

Between 5 – 7 February 2016, the Northern Circuit Committee of the Four Jurisdictions Family Law Conference have celebrated their 21st anniversary.

The purpose of the conference was as described in their flyer:

“The overall theme of the conference will be ‘Coming of Age: 21 Years of the 4Js’. Conference sessions will include consideration of how the nature of the risk of harm to children has changed in the last 21 years (FGM and ISIS/terror threats), how family law has evolved over the last 21 years as well as looking to the future. There will be a session considering a financial problem and how that would be treated differently across the four jurisdictions. As we “come of age” we will be inviting delegates to draft resolutions from our conference. Our keynote speaker and conference chair is the President of the Family Division of England and Wales, Sir James Munby. Sir Nicholas Mostyn, High Court of England and Wales, will be chairing a session on the differences between the jurisdictions in money law. We are also arranging a number of expert speakers to address the conference as well.” Click here for the Web flyer or here.

We are posting these updates as our website and twitter are welcomed not only by local solicitors/barristers/advocates/academics/public/authorities, but also by numerous international lawyers, academics and government officials from over 15 countries.  It is a topic well received and an eye opener for the world of what is happening in the UK with the families and family values, and how those in the justice system make use of the UK legal system for their own benefit to socialise and celebrate the shortcomings of the past 21 years rather than achievements and collaboration with the public. The weaknesses of the UK justice system are well emphasised by all activities of this February weekend.

This time he’s being chauffeur driven to Liverpool to talk to family lawyers….. Oh how I love family lawyers, such honest upstanding citizens.”

Les ‘Honey Monster’ Culshaw from Preston an activist from the group ‘Stop the War on Dads’ said

“The Honey Monster advertisements portrayed children trying to get access to a packet of Sugar Puffs these days they are trying to get access to their dads”

“The Honey Monster has changed his slogan to “Tell them about the daddy, mummy!”

Over 4 million children do not see one of their parents every day due to family breakdown.

The present biased, flawed family law system allows children to be exposed to a succession of mums’ fleeting boyfriends, lovers and stepfathers with whom they have no biological connection but gives no automatic right of access to their biological fathers or grandparents!

New Fathers 4 Justice campaigns for equal rights for fathers in divorce and separation proceedings and reform of the family courts.

No parent who is fit and willing should ever be denied their right to share equally in the lives of their own children

We use direct action and protests to highlight the injustice fathers’ face in the present family court system.

We want nothing less than a legal presumption of equal contact for a child with their parents if they split up, and the abolition of the deeply controversial, undemocratic secret court system that still exists within the ‘family’ division despite forty years of inequality and protest.
