Family Justice Board
Aims to improve the procedures and performance of the family justice system.
The Family Justice Board was set up to improve the performance of the family justice system and to ensure the best possible outcomes for children who come into contact with it.
It has the following sub-groups:
- a performance improvement sub-group – that analyses the available performance information to improve performance at national and local level
- the Family Justice Council – providing independent expert advice to the board
- a young people’s board – enabling young people to have a direct say in the work of the board
Local Family Justice Boards (LFJB)
LFJBs report to the Family Justice Board. The aim of LFJBs is to achieve significant improvement in the performance of the family justice system in their local area.
