Family Justice Board

Aims to improve the procedures and performance of the family justice system.

The Family Justice Board was set up to improve the performance of the family justice system and to ensure the best possible outcomes for children who come into contact with it.

It has the following sub-groups:

  • a performance improvement sub-group – that analyses the available performance information to improve performance at national and local level
  • the Family Justice Council – providing independent expert advice to the board
  • a young people’s board – enabling young people to have a direct say in the work of the board
