Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO)
The Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) was formerly known the Office for Judicial Complaint (OJC) until 1st October 2014.
The name change came with the change in the law at the same time as one famous case was put before the OJC to investigate the behaviour of a few corrupt judges.
JCIO’s role is to support the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice in their joint responsibility for judicial discipline.
